Reba Pettit

Reba F. Pettit, age 81, of Sebring, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011, at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born January 2, 1930, in Ankneytown, Ohio, to Rev. Jacob D. and Bertie (Huffer) Zigler.
She was a 1948 graduate of Alliance High School. She was employed as a dental assistant for thirty years, formerly employed by Dr. John Crawford and Dr. Joseph Benedetto.
Reba was a member of the Reading Church of the Brethren and a member of the Sandhi Club. She enjoyed traveling and camping with RV caravans, loved cooking and working crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her sisters, Josephine Brumbaugh of Warren, Ohio and Ruby A. Meck of Omaha, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles R. Pettit who died April 21, 2001; two brothers and four sisters.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Bradley officiating. Friends may call from 4 - 6 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
