Regina W. (Light) Martin, age 61, of Alliance, passed away at 9:47 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born July 25, 1952, in Alliance, to Robert and Doris (Palmer) Light and was a lifelong resident of Alliance.
Regina was an Alliance High School graduate and worked as a State Tested Nurses Aid for over 30 years.
She liked making crafts, putting puzzles together, watching football and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Tonya (Tom) Yarian and Melissa Martin, both of Alliance; son, William Martin, Jr. of Austintown; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Cleve (Eve) Light of St. Mary's, West Virginia and Paul (Kory) Palmer of Friendswood, Texas; sisters, Teresa Albert and Vicki Voorhees, both of Alliance; and Geeni (Ray) Urban of Hubbard; and fiancée, James Lanham of Alliance.
In addition to her parents, Regina was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Martin, Sr.; stepfather, Melvin G. Palmer; and brothers, David, Jack, Joseph, and George Light.
Private family services will be held. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
