Reuben J. Kocher, age 79 of Alliance, died at 9:50 p.m. January 17, 2006 at Aultman Hospital.
Mr. Kocher was born Sept. 28, 1926 in Alliance, Ohio to Bessie Shank and Reuben C. Kocher, and lived all of his life on Hartley Road.
A 1944 graduate of Alliance High School, he worked at Sancap and retired with 35 years of service. He was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ. He served two years in the Army during World War II. One year was served in Japan.
His hobbies were hunting, bowling, golfing and mowing the yard.
He has three children; Sally Kocher of Alliance, James of Dayton, and Randy of Alliance; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise on Nov. 13, 2000, two sisters, Bessie Lee of Alliance, and Mary Reel of Alliance, one brother Robert of Alliance, and his Mother and Dad of Alliance.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 12:30 -1 p.m. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
