Rev. James B. Tatsch Sr. age 91, of Sebring, died at 2:50 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2007 at Crandall Medical Center.
He was born July 8, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio to Ezra P. and Ruth Gray Tatsch.
Rev. Tatsch graduated from Cleveland Bible College and Baldwin Wallace College. He pastured for 43 years and retired from Community Friends Church in Cleveland after 29 years of ministry.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Z. Phillips Tatsch, children, James Tatsch Jr., Elaine Rizan, Beverly (Nick) Montagner, Janet (John) Allen, Byron (Lynette) Tatsch, Patricia (Alan) Palgut and Deborah Jones; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Clifton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Clinton and Harold.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Beloit Evangelical Friends Church with Pastor Mark Reich and Chaplain David Parry officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will follow at East Goshen Cemetery.
