Rev. William G. Main Sr

Rev. William G. Main, Sr., age 92, of Louisville, passed away at 11:20 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2016, at Community Care Center.
He was born October 17, 1923, in Green County, PA., to William L. and Melvina (Games) Main.
A graduate of Moundsville (WV) High School, Bill drove as an independent trucker for 49 years and then in 1993 was ordained as a minister at Hazen Ministries.
An 11 year veteran of the Army Air Corps and the U.S. Air Force, he enjoyed fishing, roller skating and singing.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharon (Wood) Main; daughter, Cheri (Larry) Mikes of Alliance; sons, Gary (Kim) Main of Alliance and Larry Ray Main of Washington, NJ; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, SGT William G. Main, Jr. and Larry Richard Main; and brother, Dale Main.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Don Prather and Rev. Marge Hazen co-officiating. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at the Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
