Richard B. Ball, age 82, of Alliance, died at 9:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Roselawn Terrace.
He was born, June 5, 1928 in Alliance Ohio to William and Mary (Blount) Ball.
Richard attended Alliance Public Schools and was co-owner of the former Don and Dick's AAMCO Station. He later worked as a bus mechanic with Marlington Local Schools until his retirement in 1989.
He was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing the bass fiddle and taking weekend trips to Lake Erie with his wife.
Survivors include his five sons, Mark Ball of Canton, Chris Ball of Alliance, Vince Ball of Minerva, Patrick (Virginia) Ball of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Francis (Brenda) Ball of Alliance; daughter, Virginia (Doug) Hastings of Montgomery County, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and one sister, Cathleen of Maximo.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Frances R. (Howell) Ball, who died May 1994.
A Chapel Service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Sebring Grandview Cemetery with Fr. Donald Feicht officiating. Interment will follow.
