Richard Kenneth Cade, age 73, passed away December 13, 2020 at Rose Lane Nursing Home in Massillon.
Rick was born March 24, 1947 in Alliance, Ohio to William K. and Maxine (Santschi) Cade.
A 1965 graduate of Alliance High School, Rick retired after working for Ohio Bell as a Lineman.
A U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, Rick was the recipient of a Bronze Service Star. He was Past President of the Vietnam Veterans Association, and Past Commander of VFW Post 1036 in Alliance.
He coached Little Aviator Football for many years, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and watching the Cleveland Browns and NASCAR.
Survivors include his son, Aaron (Carey) Cade of Alliance; daughter, Kelly (Trevor) Hartman, of Columbus, grandchildren, Alex, Dillon, Addyson, Mia, James, and Vivienne; great-grandchildren, Piper and Canaan; brothers, David (Cindy) Cade, William Todd “BT” Cade; sister, Kendra Sue Ehrlinspiel, all of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Christopher Allen Cade.
A celebration of Life Service for Rick will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, December 18th at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Frank Barnes, Chaplain officiating. Friends may visit from 3-5 p.m. Friday.
Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aultman/Alliance Hospice; 2461 W. State St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
