Richard H. Krahling, age 72, of Alliance, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Alliance Community Hospital with his loving wife by his side.
He was born August 1, 1940, in Alliance, to Herman and Dorine (Krug) Krahling, and was a lifetime Alliance resident.
He was employed as a hammer man with Transue and Williams Forge, retiring after 40 years of service.
He was a member of the Canton McKinley Eagles No. 2370. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry and home improvement projects. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and being in the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn (Allen) Krahling, of Alliance, whom he married, November 1, 1963; sister, Karolyn Bennett of Homeworth; brother, Robert Krahling of Lancaster; granddaughter, Hayley Krahling of Sebring; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kyle Richard Krahling; brother, Bill Krahling; half-brother, Charles Krahling; and a sister, Donna Lipply.
With respect to Richard's wishes, no services or calling hours will be held. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
