Richard G. Lamp

Richard G. Lamp, age 83, of Alliance, passed away on May 17, 2021.

He was born on August 20, 1937 in Alliance to Edward and Ruth (Buehler) Lamp.

Richard was a long time employee at Murphy’s Muffler and a millwright for B&W Tubular. He owned Beaver Muffler in Alliance. Richard had his pilot license and enjoyed recreational flying. He was a “jack of all trades”. In his earlier years, Richard enjoyed riding dirt bikes and go-cart racing. He attended First Christian Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce (Bourne) Lamp, whom he married on August 16, 1959; his sons, Jeff (Brenda) Lamp and Jamie Lamp; his daughter, Becky (Kevin) Duro; his grandchildren, Seth and Quinn Lamp, Kelsey (Duro) Farina, Brooke, Evan and Cole Duro, and Jacob Lamp; two brothers, Carl (Emma) Lamp and Leon (Mary) Lamp; and his former daughter-in-law, Joan Lamp.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

A celebration of life will be held on June 5th at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church.
