Richard C. Miller, age 61, of Alliance, passed away at 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born September 5, 1953, in Canton, Ohio, to Clyde and Pauline (Price) Miller.
Richard was a 1971 graduate of Marlington High School and employed by Sugardale Fresh Mark for 39 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alliance and the Sebring Masonic Lodge No. 626 F &AM.
Richard enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and going to the gun range with his sons and sons-in-law. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Terri L. (Carver) Miller, of Alliance, whom he married July 14, 1973; son, Mark (Amber) Miller of Alliance; two daughters, Melissa (Nathan) Ray of Lithopolis, Ohio and Michele (Jason) Smith of Alliance; grandchildren, Sully, Lylah and Sawyer Ray and Pauli Ann and Brady Richard Smith; mother and father-in-law, Mardell and Willie Richmond of Sebring; father-in-law, Jerry Carver of North Benton; brother, Robert (Carolyn) Miller of Alliance; sister, Mary Ann Pore of Texas; two brothers-in-law, Jerry Carver of Sebring and Ray (Michele) Carver of Westville; six nieces; four nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Rhodes officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at the church. A Masonic service will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
