Richard N. Myers 'Rick', age 49 of Homeworth, died at the Cleveland Clinic at 1:42 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006.
He was born June 2, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to Pete and Liz (Clunk) Myers and lived in Homeworth since 1989.
Mr. Myers was a 1974 graduate of Tulsa High School and was retired after 20 years of service as a police officer from the Alliance Police Dept. He currently worked at Lowe's since 1997. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church and F.O.P. Rick enjoyed watching the History, Discover, Sci-Fi and Military Channel on T.V.
Survivors include his wife, Therese (Martin) Myers, whom he married Sept. 21, 2002; mother and step-father Liz (Tom) Shelt of Paris; step-daughter Deanna Asel of Lakewood; step-sisters Jennifer Shelt-Wolfe and Amanda Miller and step-brother Ryan Shelt. He was preceded in death by his father and infant son Cory Myers.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tom Sawyer officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior at the church.
