Richard "Dick" L. Post, age 92 of Alliance, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014, at Canterbury Villa.
He was born July 12, 1922 in Washington, PA to Lester and Margeurite (O'Brian) Post.
He was a graduate of Alliance High School and employed as a carpet layer for more than 40 years.
A member of the Conrad Masonic Lodge, Dick was also a member of the Christ United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school and was very active and involved with Boy Scout Troop 50, Buckeye Council and the YMCA Indian Guides.
Survivors include his daughter Susan P. (Charles) Delong of Akron; sons, Richard L. Post of Albuquerque, NM, Craig L. Post of Alliance and Scott R. Post of Cuyahoga Falls; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eileen (Fitzpatrick) Post, whom he married on September 17, 1941 and who passed away February 28, 2003; one grandson; one great granddaughter; sister, Jeanne Post-Raper; and brother, Jack Post.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
