Richard Wayne Roberts

Richard Wayne Roberts of Alliance, age 79, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in McFarland, West Virginia, on February 3, 1938, to Ora B. Roberts.
Wayne was employed by SugarDale Meats (Fresh Mark) in the maintenance department for 32 years until his retirement.
Wayne was a former member of the Louisville Eagles club, an avid camper at Paradise Lake, and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Debbie Nelson of Sebring; Terri (Ron) Hubbs of Sebring; and Michael (Loretta) Roberts of Homeworth; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Roberts of Alliance; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Toni Bunnell of Massillon; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline R. Roberts, whom he married May 31, 1962 and who died September 1, 2011; one sister; and two brothers.
A service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Rhodes officiating. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park.
