Robert "Bob" Biddle, age 83, of Limaville, passed away at 11:55 pm May 9, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 3, 1930, in Mauckport, IN to Ed and Helen (Bodenstadt) Biddle and grew up in the area. He was then raised by mother Helen and George Michael.
A 1942 graduate of Atwater High School, Bob was a metal pattern maker, retiring from American Steel.
Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and spent most of his life raising a family with his wife, Mary. He also really enjoyed playing cards, tennis, photography, jazz music and riding his Indian motorcycle cross-country on several occasions. An avid reader, he passed his passion for literature and great stories on to his children and grandchildren.
Later in life, Bob loved gardening, generously sharing his harvest with family, friends and neighbors.
Survivors include daughter Patty (Jay); sons Bill (Ann), Ben (Anita); his beloved granddaughters, Alex, whom he fondly called 'Skeeter' and Brandi, his favorite card rival; brothers, Dick Michael (Debbie) and Jerry Michael (Linda).
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son Mike who passed on Oct. 2, 2006; and his wife, Mary L. (Dulaney) Biddle, whom he married Oct. 15, 1955, and who died Sept. 30, 2011.
He will always be a wonderful part of all the special memories that will live forever in the hearts of all those he touched.
Arrangements include cremation. There will no calling hours. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio.
