Robert Barnes Blair departed his earthly journey on July 2, 2018, encamped by family and friends. Robert Barnes entered his earthly life to Parks Blair and Virginia I. Hairston on February 17, 1945, in Leaksville, North Carolina. He attended Second Baptist Church and was employed at the former Molly Stark Hospital as an orderly. He ran Alliance Arid Club for 38 years and was a gifted motivational speaker there. He loved trading cars. Proceeding him in death are his sisters, Louise Blair, Etta Malone, and Hattie Blair Kelly; brother, Johnnie Bernhardt; special aunt and uncle, JZ and Beverly Hairston; a special niece, Nakeyia McMichael; and good friends, Dave Hill and Bennie Kirksey. Memories of Robert will forever be treasured by his surviving siblings, Peaches (John) Middleton, and Shirley (Roy) Nicholson, both of Alliance; and brother, Anthony (Jodi) Blair of New Haven, Florida. Services will be held at Noon Monday, July 9, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Williams officiating. Friends may call the hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Alliance City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
