Robert H. Eglie

Robert H. Eglie, age 90, of Homeworth, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Brookdale Senior Living in Alliance.

He was born March 19, 1931 to Russell Eglie and Ida (Davis) Eglie in Chambersburg, Ohio.

Robert graduated from Minerva High School and worked as a supervisor for Transue and Williams Forge. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 574 in North Georgetown. Robert enjoyed gardening and mowing the grass. He served honorably in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his sons Michael (Christine) Eglie of Alliance, Gregory Eglie of Homeworth; daughter Teresa (Terry) Kennedy of Homeworth; two grandsons; two great granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arlene E. (Wickersham) Eglie, whom he married November 17, 1956, and who passed April 14, 2020; son Scott Eglie; and two brothers.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Saturday, May 29th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
