Robert G. "Bob" Fargo, age 70, of Atwater, went home to be with His Lord at 9:13 a.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Akron.
He was born December 13, 1938 in Alliance to William Zolton Fargo and Wanda E. (Drayer) Fargo.
Bob was a graduate of Atwater High School and was a heavy machine operator in construction work.
He was a member of the Truth Baptist Church, enjoyed Martin Guitars and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra E. (Evans) Fargo of Atwater, whom he married July 8, 1963; his daughter, Tammy Fargo of Atwater; son, Michael R. (Brenda) Fargo of Green; four grandchildren, Kory, Aaron, Sunni Rae, and Justin; two sisters, Beverly Wollom and Karen (Tom) Kridler of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday September 17, 2009 at Truth Baptist Church, 1334 Stroup Road, Atwater, Ohio, with Pastor Roy Teague officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the Church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Truth Baptist Church, PO Box 115, Atwater, Ohio 44201 for song books in memory of Bob Fargo.
