Robert Alfred Grimm, age 80 of Houston, Texas, and formerly of Alliance died at Northeast Medical Center at 3:00 a.m. September 20, 2003.
He was born June 12, 1923 in New Brighton, Pa., to Walter Alfred and Marie Agnes (Schroder) Grimm.
Mr. Grimm lived most of his life in Alliance, and graduated from Alliance High School He was employed as a machinist with Challenge Machine Works Inc., of Humble, Texas until retiring.
He was a member of the American Legion in Houston, Texas, and had served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Mr. Grimm is survived by his wife Rosamond (Irish) Grimm, whom he married April 4, 1948, two daughters, Sharon K. Crubaugh of Humble, TX. Janet Sue (Gary) Teeters of Alliance, one son, Robert W. (Annette) Grimm of Alliance, five grandsons, Paul, Matthew, Nathan, Robbie, and Dustin, one great-granddaughter Gwendlyn, two sisters, Melva Jean Watson of Alliance, Doris (William) Mason, of LaMirada Ca., one brother William Grimm of Austintown, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son Clifford Wayne Grimm.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Matthew Alan Teeters officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
