Robert Hoover

Robert B. "Zeke" Hoover, age 88 of Alliance, passed away at 10:25 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at his home.
He was born on September 15, 1928 in Alliance, Ohio, to Clarence and Laura (Hammer) Hoover.
A lifelong Alliance resident, Bob was a farmer and drove school bus for Marlington Schools for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran where he taught heavy equipment operation.
He was a member of Science Hill Community Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.
Survivors include his wife, Linda (Garver) Hoover whom he married September 4, 1955; son, Timothy Hoover of Ravenna, Ohio; daughters, Cathy Noble and Debra Namoske both of Alliance, Ohio; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two brothers, William and Virgil Hoover.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Glenn Hoover; and his uncle and aunt, Raymond and Pearl Hoover.
Services will be held at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Truax officiating. Friends may call from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. prior to the service.
