Robert W. Hobbs II

Robert W. Hobbs II, age 77, of Alliance, passed away at 6 p.m. Saturday April 1, 2017 at his home.
He was born April 10, 1939 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Robert W. and Ruth (Davis) Hobbs.
Robert was a 1957 graduate of Alliance High School and attended Mount Union College. Working in the parts department of various Ford dealerships in Canton, He then moved to Alliance and worked at the former Wally Armour Ford later retiring from Montrose Ford.
Robert was a member of First Christian Church and was formerly a Deacon, Board Member, and Trustee. He was also a member of Friends of the Parks, Midland Hosta Society, and Alliance Garden Club and formerly of Alliance Jaycees, Parkway Cub Scouts, and Alliance Band Boosters. He also enjoyed gardening and H.O. Railroading.
Survivors include his wife, Kay (Meyer) Hobbs, whom he married in 1959; children, David B. (Catherine) Hobbs of Palm Springs, California, and Jeffrey C. Hobbs of Alliance; four grandchildren; seven great granddaughters; half-brother, Fred (Becky) Hobbs; and step-sister, Janice Kelly.
Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Michael R. Hobbs.
A memorial service will be held at Noon, April 7, 2017 at First Christian Church with Pastor Aaron Phillips and Sue DeHoff officiating. Friends may call an hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be held at Alliance City Cemetery.
