Robert W. Marshall, Sr., age 70, of Alliance, died at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born November 5, 1938 in Homeworth to Frank and Burl (Shaw) Marshall.
Robert was a 1958 graduate of Sebring High School and was employed for over 40 years at Sancap Abrasives and retired as a foreman. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Minerva Eagles and enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the yard, playing horseshoes, and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Donna J. (Johnson) Marshall whom he married November 11, 1966; three daughters, Tammy (Mark) Ulbricht, Lori (Mike) Yost and Lynn (Clancy) Higgins, all of Alliance; four sons, Robert W. (Michelle) Marshall Jr. of Sacramento, California, Todd (Ann) Marshall of Alliance, Brian Marshall of Atlanta, Georgia and Brad Marshall of Hollywood, Florida; 17 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Jenny (Bruce) Lowman and one brother, William (Ellie) Marshall, both of Alliance; three nephews; and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Edna Stanley and Veda Benner; two brothers, Dareld "Bud" Marshall and Jack Marshall.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Pastor James White of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
