Robert L. McIlvain Sr., age 68 of Alliance, died Friday March 3, 2006 at his home.
He was born February 15, 1939 in Glendale, West Virginia to Ogle McIlvain and Anna (Sneigle) McIlvain.
Mr. McIlvain was formerly employed by American Steel Foundries as a Core Maker until retiring after 30 years of service.
He was a member of the Alliance Eagles where he served as a trustee, member of the Moose Lodge, Dante Club, VFW Post 6730 of Sebring; and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by three sons, Robert (Martina) McIlvain Jr. of Bryan, Ohio, Michael (Cindy) McIlvain of Bryan, and Keith McIlvain of Fremont, Indiana; one daughter, Theresa (Jeff) Kimbel of Bryan; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Sonny (Bonnie) McIlvain of California, and David (Sandy) McIlvain of Massillon; and two sisters, Linda West of Moundsville, West Virginia, and Betty McIlvain of Cameron, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Martha White.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
