Robert A. Milburn, age 76, of Alliance, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born March 20, 1936, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to Clair and Anna (Couchman) Milburn.
A 1954 graduate of Alliance High School, Robert retired from Timken Company after 33 years of service as a maintenance supervisor and then worked for Alliance Automotive for 13 years.
He was a member of the Elks Club, Dante Club, Roma Society and the VFW. He served on the zoning committee for Lexington Township, was active in the Alliance Hot Stove for 25 years, and received the Cy Butler Award in 2001 and the Sportsman Award in 1995. He also ran the Chain Gang at Marlington for many years.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita (Fisher) Milburn, whom he married July 2, 1960; daughter, Michelle Milburn and companion, Cliff Trainer of Alliance; daughter-in-law, Kathleen (Milburn) Yeagley of Alliance; son-in-law, Jerry Yeagley, granddaughters, Sarah Milburn, Elizabeth "Libby" Milburn and Mikayla Milburn, all of Alliance.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Michael Milburn, who died in 1994.
A private family service will be held.
