Robert Gene Miller

Robert Gene (Bob) Miller, 86, of Alliance, passed away on Aug 3, 2019 following an extended illness at home surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born February 3, 1933 in Canton, Ohio to Clyde and Pauline Miller. He graduated from Louisville High School in 1951.

Bob celebrated 66 years of marriage to Carolyn (Vierheller) Miller on June 13.  He retired from Sugardale after 44 years of service, and was a former member of the Marlboro Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Cindi Greiner, Patti Miller (Bob Kepley), Angie Hattery (Rich); sister, Mary Ann Pore; grandchildren, Chris (Susan) & Dan (Kelly) Greiner, Sam & Max (Shauna) Ertle, Marlee & Zoey Peck, Alyssa & Luke Hattery; five great-grandchildren, (Lexy, CJ, Koryn, Landon, Briaunna); pup and grand-pup Bud & Ozzie.

A special thanks to our neighbors and adopted daughter & son Bonnie & Kenny Faverty, Jim & Lynette Hornyak, and Dave & Heidi Wade for their help and friendship.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Mark Hostettler and Aultman Hospice Care.

Private graveside services will be held for family and close friends.

Due to Bob’s love of animals and his many dogs throughout the years, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Stark County Humane Society PO Box 7077 Louisville, OH 44641.
