Robert J. Miner, age 78, of Alliance, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at his home.
He was born, November 16, 1931, in Alliance, Ohio to Gerald and Lucille (Tierney) Miner.
Robert was a member of the National Guard for two years and was self-employed in the real estate business.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Johnson) Miner of Beloit, whom he married February 22, 2008; daughter, Cynthia Miner of Alliance; five step-daughters, Darla, Cynthia, Brenda, Deborah and Denise; one step-son, David; nine step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Donna F. (Stackhouse) Miner, who died April, 1953; third wife, Ray Lou (Brunner) Miner, who died October, 2002; and a son, Dennis, who died in 1999.
Services will be held at 11a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey W. Caldwell of Maranatha Church of God officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
