Robert S. "Bob" Notman, age 58, of Alliance, passed away at 5:35 a.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born July 10, 1956 in Alliance, Ohio, to Clyde M. Notman and Minnie Mae (Moore) Notman Anderson.
An Alliance High School graduate, Bob was employed as a press operator at Jet Rubber Company for 24 years.
Bob attended Southside Church of God and New Beginnings House of God. He loved to do Outreach Ministry with his family, and with his servants' heart, would give a helping hand to anyone in need.
An avid Cleveland Sports fan, he also loved car shows. He attended all his children's events, never missing any, and loved to volunteer while his boys were in elementary school. Bob also enjoyed spontaneous road trips with his family.
He was proud to have served with the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth M. "Liz" (Osco) Notman whom he married September 19, 1987; children, Stevie Notman, Tim Smail, Bobby (Haylie) Notman, Christopher Notman and Samuel Notman; two grandchildren; brother, William Notman; half-sister, Cathy Nemitz; half-brother, Rick Nemitz; step-sisters, Sherry Gang and Lori Anderson; step-brothers, Clinton and Donny Anderson; dear brother-in-law Frank Osco Jr., and dear friends, Tim (Lisa) Ballos, Joseph DeLeon, and Mike (Laura Lee) Hettler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Duane Nemitz.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastors Jennie Chenault, Bobby Williams, and Joyce Williams officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2014.
Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
