Robert E. "Bob" Rhome, age 77 of Homeworth, died at 10:14 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005 at his home.
He was born August 25, 1928 in Moundsville, West Virginia to Walter and Edna (Main) Rhome.
Mr. Rhome attended Sebring Public Schools and was self employed in trucking. He also worked as a distributor for Standard Oil, and was employed by K&D Trucking of Alliance.
He was a member of First Church of God, Moose Lodge #362 of Alliance, Minerva Eagles, and the Hose Club in Salem.
Bob enjoyed his church, Christian Music, boating, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Marlene K. (Stewart) Rhome, whom he married Dec. 9, 1950; three daughters, Sue (Jeff) Porter of Alliance, Sheila (Steve) Mudrick of Alliance, and Bonnie (James) Francis of Homeworth; two sons, Michael (Lisa) Rhome of Homeworth, and Richard (Kathy) Rhome of Alliance; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, George (Carol) Rhome of Alliance; one sister, Eileen (Dave) Smith of Palm Bay, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rhome was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Arthur.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Murphy officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
