Robert Vernon Rohrer, age 88 of Alliance, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Alliance Community Hospital.
Mr. Rohrer was born October 10, 1916 in Alliance, Ohio to Ralph and Gertrude (Scott) Rohrer and was a lifelong resident.
A graduate of Alliance High School, he worked at B&W.
He was a member Beechwood United Methodist, and was U.S. Navy W.W. II Veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Elizabeth (Kern) Rohrer, whom he married March 10, 1946; two daughters, Barbara (David) Sorge of Belton, Texas, and Roberta Rohrer of Alliance; one son, Eric Rohrer of El Paso, Texas; two grandchildren, Christopher Cardinal and Samantha Rohrer; one brother, James (Frances) Rohrer of Alliance, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rohrer was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, one brother, and one infant daughter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Interment will be in Beechwood Cemetery.
