Robert L. Stewart, age 70, a lifetime resident of Homeworth, Ohio died on September 4, 2012, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born to Earl W. and Ollie E. Stewart on November 21, 1941 and passed away after a short battle with cancer at his farm, East of Homeworth.
Mr. Stewart honorably served in the US Navy with Attack Squadron 72 aboard USS Independence CVA 62 as Master at Arms and Aviation Machinist Mate 2nd class. He took part in the Cuban Missile Crisis and Blockade and was awarded the Navy Good Conduct, National Defense, and Navy & Marine Corps Expeditionary Medals as well as several letters of commendation and an Honorable Discharge.
He was a 32 degree Mason that has belonged to Homeworth Lodge F&AM #499 and the William McKinley, Valley of Canton Scottish Rite. He was a Patron Life member of the NRA as well as a life member of OGCA.
Survivors include his loving companion, Lucy K. Ogden of the home and his adored bulldog, Daisy; several nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earl W. Jr. and Jack Stewart and his sister Eldora F. Lieder.

There will be no services and cremation has taken place
