Robert D. Stuhlmiller

Robert D. Stuhlmiller, 72, of Alliance, Ohio, died unexpectedly Friday June 26, 2015.
He was born August 7, 1942, in Hamburg, New York to Edwin and Marie Stuhlmiller. Bob was a 1960 graduate of Hamburg High, and attended forestry management school in Wanakena, New York, before graduating from the Univeristy of Michigan with a degree in chemistry.
Bob moved to Ohio in 1975 to begin a career at Sancap. He subsequently served as its longtime president.
Among Bob's many interests, he was active at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Alliance and was an accomplished pilot and outdoor enthusiast. Bob has a long history supporting his community and those around him.
He is survived by his mother, Marie; brothers, Edwin and David, sister, Cindy (Barry Tolchard); wife, Sharon; children, Sam (LeeAnne), Tim (Kara) and Heidi (Gregory Nelson); step-children, Sarah (Adam Taylor), and Emily and Rachel Booth; grandchildren, Samantha, Dorothy, Katherine, James, Grant, Logan and Alyssa. He also leaves behind many friends and the employees of Sancap whom he considered family.
He was preceded in death by Edwin Stuhlmiller and Dorothy J. Stuhlmiller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to mass at the church. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
