Robert John Warner Sr.

Robert John “Bob” Warner Sr., age 86, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025.

Bob was the eldest of 11 children born to Wilbert and Margaret Warner. From an early age, he took on the role of caretaker and provider for his family, a commitment he carried with him throughout his life.

A proud graduate of Central Catholic High School in Canton, Bob completed his education in 1956. His dedication to service continued as he spent three years in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, followed by two years in the National Guard.

After his military service, Bob returned home to work in the family business, Warner's Garage and equipment. He and his brother Ed eventually took over the business, running it together until its closing in 1993.

Bob married Trudy Bowman, and together they had one son, Rob. Bob's love for family extended beyond his immediate circle. He cherished spending Christmas in Key Largo with family and their Swedish exchange student, Kristina, creating fond memories for all involved.

His legacy lives on through the deep connections he shared with family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Trudy; step-sons Scott and Steve Hutmacher, his brother Ed Warner; sister-in-law, Kathy Warner; and brother-in-law, Jerry Edwards.

He is survived by his son, Rob; grandchildren, Logan, Quinn, Jade, Kenton, and Sacha; and his siblings, Jean (Dick) Deitrick, Joe (Toni) Warner, Dick (Karin) Warner, John Warner, Judy (Bill) Clair, Jim (Michele) Warner, Tom (Alberto) Warner, Vince Warner, and Eileen Edwards.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31st at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 8277 Nickel Plate Ave, Harrisburg, OH 44641.

Following the service, a luncheon will be provided in the church hall.

Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through the love and values he instilled in his family.
