Robert J. "Cannonball" Werderitsch, age 77, of Alliance, passed away July 2, 2014, at his home.
He was born July 18, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John and Mary (Hofstetter) Werderitsch. He was a longtime resident of Alliance.
Robert, known as "Cannonball" was a freelance commercial pilot, who was a lifelong aviation enthusiast. Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his siblings, Mary "Mitzi" Duley of N. Olmstead, Richard Werderitsch of California, Stephen (Bonnie) Werderitsch of Brunswick Hills, and Joann (Tim) McKinney of West Virginia; several nieces, nephews; and longtime dear friends, Terry and Paula Saylor and Forrest Barber.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service with inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. Tues, July 15, 2014, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd. Rittman, Ohio.
