Robert Hugh Wise, age 80, of Alliance, passed away at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015, at McCrea Manor.
He was born July 26, 1934 in Carrollton, Ohio, to Herbert and Francis (Denny) Wise.
A graduate of Carrollton High School, Bob served in the U.S. Army then worked as a draftsman for Morgan Engineering, retiring after more than 20 years of service.
Bob had a passion for model railroads and was a member of the National Model Railroad Association and the Salem Model Railroad club. He also attended First Immanuel United Church of Christ, the Pontiac-Oakland International Club and AARP.
Survivors include his cousins; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Sanor, Kathy Perkins, Linda Riesen and Claire Riesen; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Thelma (Riesen) Wise, whom he married on June 27, 1965 and who passed away May 29, 2010.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
