Robert B. Walter, age 80 of Alliance, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2019 at Altercare of Alliance.
A son of the late Ben and Thelma (Woolf) Walter, Robert was born March 7, 1939 in Alliance. Mr. Walter was a graduate of Alliance High School.
Survivors are sons, Ben (Deanna) Walter and Jerry (Tiffany) Walter, of Alliance; grandsons, Dylan Walter, Barron Walter, and Jayce Walter; granddaughters, Marissa Walter and Rachel Walter; and niece, Debbie Walter, of Oregon.
In addition to his parents, Robert Byron was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman Walter, and Jerry Walter, who died when he was a toddler.
Robert was a carpenter and foreman for Don Hole Construction, then became a General Contractor in 1967, becoming the founder of R.B. Walter Construction. He was a perfectionist craftsman known for his quality work. He built many houses, additions and remodeling projects; eventually specializing in commercial projects for many area businesses.
After retiring, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, taking meticulous care of his property, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved taking care of the wildlife on his property and his beloved cat. Robert was loved and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

A Celebration of Life and Sharing of Memories will be held at 1 p.m. Friday December 6, 2019 at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
