Roger E. Dimit, age 69, of Alliance passed away at 4:19 a.m., January 9, 2014, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born April 26, 1944, in Trail Run, Ohio, to Leslie and Caroline (Lohr) Dimit and lived most of his life in Alliance.
Roger was a 1963 graduate of Crestwood High School. He retired as a welder for Hendrickson Suspension in Canton.
He attended The Chapel of Marlboro. Roger liked to golf and spend time with his family.
Roger is survived by his wife, Barbara (Click) Dimit whom he married August 6, 1965; daughter, Bonnie (Brad) Mathe of Alliance; sons, Gary (Diane) Dimit and Terry (Stefanie) Dimit, both of Alliance and Kevin (Crystal) Dimit of North Carolina; grandchildren, Amber (Cody), Brooklynn, Dakota, Jadon, Dominic and Tony (Heather); great-granddaughter, Audrey; sisters, Phyllis Smith of Ravenna and Vera Eddy of Woodsfield, OH; sister-in-law, Linda Berry; niece, Tracy (Eric) Benning; and great-nieces, Cheyane and Kierra.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Dimit and sisters, Eva King and Twila Minger.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday January 13, 2014 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Rev. Joel Cochran officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday.
