Roger Lee Murphy

Roger Lee Murphy, age 57, of Alliance, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at his home.
He was born on January 24, 1960 in Alliance to Charles and Marjorie (Howell) Murphy.
A graduate of Alliance High School, Roger was employed as a supervisor at Keener Rubber Co. for 34 years.
He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Survivors include his wife, Penny (Ferguson) Murphy, whom he married October 16, 1982; daughter, Jacqueline Murphy; siblings, Susan (Mike) Veres, Debbie (Mark) Scott, Michael Murphy, Jerry (Christine) Murphy, Cindy Murphy, and Steven Murphy; and his best friend, Mike (Jodi) Fagan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2017 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Gruver officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at 525 N. Broad St. Canfield, Ohio 44406.
