Roger Seibert, age 87, of Alliance, passed away at 9:45 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born September 3, 1929, in Atwater, Ohio, to Linus and Helen (Miller) Seibert Kinsey and has resided in Alliance all his life.
Roger had worked at Transue and Williams Forge as a hammer man for 30 plus years.
In his younger years, Roger worked at auto body repair and painting. He also had a trap line for many years, and he loved to garden.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Seibert, whom he married December 12, 1949; daughters, Susan (Ron) Betz of Curry, North Carolina, Penny (Jay) Frank of Beloit and Lori Seibert of Alliance; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Seibert of California; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Wharton; grandson, Roger Frank; and two brothers, Wendall Seibert and Elmer "Jerry" Seibert.
There will be no services.
Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!" Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise."
