Roger Dean Weinert, age 86, of Louisville, passed away at 12:35 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019, at his home.
He was born February 13, 1933, in Lewistown, Montana, to Fred and Helen (Obee) Weinert.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Roger was a member of Advent Lutheran Church and retired as a semi-truck driver for his company, RWI Trucking.
Roger was a member of the Lions Club and the Antique Truck Historical Society. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska and Montana, and restoring antique vehicles.
Survivors include his wife, Lila Kay (Rhynard) Weinert, whom he married December 29, 1952; children, Kenneth (Sandi) Weinert of Northglenn, Colorado, Karen (Bill) Simons of Carterville, Illinois and Lynette (Ron) Blasiman of Alliance; grandchildren, Jessica (Joseph), Christopher (Amber), Matthew, Erin (Andrew), Andrew (Erica), Kylene (Andy), Trisha, Kristen (Michael), Edwin, Amy and Adam; 17 great grandchildren; and brother, Rodney Weinert of Owosso, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Beth; and a great granddaughter, Piper.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Cheyney officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the funeral home.
