Ronald G. Knepp

Ronald G. Knepp, age 64, of Alliance passed away from complications due to Covid-19 at Mercy Medical Center on January 30, 2021.

He was born on August 24, 1956 in Akron, Ohio to Gordon and Marjorie (Postlethwait) Knepp.

Ronald graduated from Field High School and then from Mount Union College, where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.  Ronald got his master’s degree from Kent State University and gained the knowledge he needed to teach at Waterloo Local Schools for 35 years. Ronald coached varsity football, middle school basketball and track for many years. He attended First Immanuel United Church of Christ and was a member of their consistory and finance boards.  Ronald was also a member of the Elks. He enjoyed spending summers in Lakeside, Ohio, as well as hunting, fishing, golfing and traveling.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lucinda “Cindy” (Rudolph) Knepp, whom he married December 20, 1980; his children, Lee Knepp and Erika Knepp; his siblings, Ken (Sally) Knepp, Terri (Craig) Tucker and Jay (Susan) Knepp; sisters-in-law, Chandi Rudolph and Kelly Hartz; niece, Samantha Hartz-Rudolph; nephews, Jackson Tucker and Greg Knepp.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center for their loving care.

A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday October 16th at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating.

Family and friends may visit from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
