Ronald Richard Lefever, age 82, of Louisville, died at 6:15 p.m., February 4, 2013, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.
He was born November 11, 1930, in Alliance, Ohio, to Jacob and Inez (Price) Lefever.
Ron attended Louisville schools, and worked as a truck driver.
He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church.
A U. S. Air Force veteran, Ron belonged to the American Legion Post 166, Washington Twp. Historical Society, and the Masonic Lodge.
He will be greatly missed by his many friends all over the states, as Ron never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife, Lu (Freed) Lefever, whom he married May 6, 1991; children, Cynthia Lefever of Philadelphia, PA, Larry Lefever of Pocatello, ID, and Ronald Lefever of Lake Isabella, CA; step-children, Robin Plemmons of WA, Peggy Ritchie of Warren, OH, and Diana Jahnke of IL; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and brother, Donald Lefever of Colorado Springs, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Charlie Baird officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
