Ronald Lee Mohr Sr., age 74, of Alliance, died at 5:02 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born February 21, 1938, in Alliance, to Lawrence and Lucille (Shoup) Mohr.
Ronald attended Alliance High School and was formerly employed by Kintz Construction helping to build Alliance's first Burger King, McDonalds and many area businesses.
He was a member of Bricklayers Local No. 8 from Canton, the Dante Club, Roma Society and the Saxon Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting playing cards, traveling and gardening and was most eager to vote for President Obama.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Sandy (Baird) Mohr, whom he shared 26 years of marriage; daughter, Roxanne (Robert) Chernikovich of Alliance; son, Ron (Vicki) Mohr Jr. of Uniontown; two stepdaughters, Tracie (Jance) Bettis of Hanoverton and Sheryl Tomor of East Palestine; four stepsons, David Tomor of Edinburg, John Tomor of Salem, Jason Grace of Salem and Jeffery (Amanda) Grace of Newton Falls; 19 grandchildren, two sisters, Dorothy (Glen) Emmons of Alliance and Carol "Sis" (Lon) Strabala of Ravenna; two brothers, Donald Mohr of Beloit and Paul (Connie) Mohr of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lawrence "Pete" Mohr.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
