Ronald Schaffert

Ronald L. Schaffert, age 70, of Alliance, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at his home.
He was born December 24, 1936 in Canton, Ohio to Milton C. and Pauline E. (Swope) Schaffert and resided in Alliance for the last 25 years.
Mr. Schaffert was a graduate of Lincoln High School and was a licensed gunsmith. He retired after working as a taxi driver for Alliance Taxi. He was a U.S Army and U.S. Navy Veteran, life member of the Roma Society and enjoyed bowling, fishing and golfing.
Survivors include his daughter Tameral L. Priest of South Bend, Indiana; son, Andrew W. Schaffert Sr. and Maryann Mabry of Alliance; daughter, Rhonda L. Schaffert and Tyree Williams of Alliance; daughter, Sabrina L. Schaffert and Barry Scott of Alliance; brother, Gary C. Schaffert of Canton; nephew, Michael D. Schaffert and Kelly Schaffert of Canton; and twelve grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Jon Schaffert.
Military Honors will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday.
The Roma Society will host a reception for family and friends following the service at the funeral home.
