Ronald H. Herderick

Ronald H. Herderick, age 90, of Alliance, passed away at 10:20 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2019 at Community Care Center.

He was born December 15, 1928, in Columbus, Ohio to Michael and Edith (Beard) Herderick Payton and lived in Alliance for 72 years.

He was married February 21, 1948, to the love of his life, Joan Herderick. He worked at the former Bateman’s Trailer Store for 47 years.

Survivors include his children, Larry (Paulette) Herderick of Alliance, Debbie (Allen) Smith of Owensboro, Kentucky, Ronald A. (Donna) Herderick of Alliance, Stephanie (Pastor Dave) Cannon of Alliance and Malissa (Rick) Phillips of Alliance; grandchildren, Chris Herderick, Kimberly Stevens, Jason Smith, Todd Herderick and Allison Cannon; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Riley) Herderick who died May 25, 2006; stepfather, Charlie Payton; sister, Dorothy Bateman; brothers, Michael, George and Lawrence; and great-grandson, Tyler Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Cannon officiating. Friends may call from 3-4 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
