Rosanna Johnston McGee, age 86 of Homeworth, died at 1:25 p.m. December 16, 2004 at Altercare of Alliance.
Mrs. McGee was born March 18, 1918 in Williams County, Ohio to Stuart McMunn and Lillas Bee (Hunter) Johnston, and retired from the Rodman Public Library on March 31, 1980, where she had worked in the Circulation and Reference Departments for 30 years. Previously she taught for one year at Hanoverton and later was a Librarian at the Youngstown Public Library and Kent State University Library.
She graduated from the Alliance High School with the June 1936 class. She also graduated from Mount Union College, Class of June 1940 and Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Library Science Degree, Class of June 1942.
Rosanna was a member of the Homeworth Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church, Western Columbiana County Historical Society of Homeworth, and the UCT.
Mrs. McGee is survived by her sons; Christopher Alan of Elizabethtown, Pa., and Ronald Lee of Homeworth, one brother, Stuart M. Johnston, one niece, two nephews, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister two brothers, and her husband Robert E. McGee, whom she married July 8, 1950, and who died December 20, 1999.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Sawyer officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Western Columbiana County Historical Society of Homeworth.
