Rose "Rosie" Braund, age 91 of Alliance, went to be with the Lord at 5:30 p.m. August 12, 2005 at Aultman Woodlawn.
She was born December 19, 1913 in Alliance, Ohio to Louis Muranyi and Bessie Muranyi and lived in Alliance all of her life.
Mrs. Braund worked as a Beautician for the former Maryann's High Fashions.
She attended the Alliance Baptist Temple, was a member of the Llegro Card Club and enjoyed bingo and visiting the Mountaineer Gaming Resort.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlene (John) Weimer of Alliance, three grandchildren; Todd (Laura) Jeffers, Johanna (Steve) Ware and Scott (Diana) Weimer all of Alliance, seven great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, three nieces; Frances (Daniel) Schlabach of Alliance, and Darlene (Dennis) Thoman of Clinton, Ohio, and Barbara Jean (Marty) Rogenski of Youngstown, Ohio.
Mrs. Braund was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William James Braund, whom she married Nov. 20, 1935, and who died June 27, 1982, one son William James II who died February 11, 1986, three sisters; Mary Srmag, Paula Davis and Bessie Raney, and two brothers; Louis and Carl Muranyi.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Payne officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
