Rose Marie Kriner, age 84, of Alliance, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2007, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born January 10, 1923 in Brookfield, Illinois to John Francis and Rose (Kriszak) Vrzak and was a lifelong resident of Alliance.
Mrs. Kriner was a graduate of Alliance High School, member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and was a Cub Scout Den Mother for Pack 58. She loved to crochet.
She is survived by her two sons, Timothy S. Kriner and Kevin L. Kriner, both of Beloit; brother Richard (Bernice) Vrzak of Alliance; nephews, William Beckett and Richard Phillips of Alliance; Jerry Vrzak of Eugene, Oregon; niece, Rosemary Hudson of Lakeland, Florida; and many great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kriner was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Irvin F. Kriner whom she married October 18, 1946 and who died September 5, 2007; and sisters Bernice Beckett and Mildred Phillips.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Charles Parke officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
