Rose Walter age 75 of Alliance died at home on September 13.

Mrs. Walter was born at home in McGoffin County Kentucky on April 17, 1927 to Adam and Bessie (Shephard) Watson, and attended Decatur School in Lawrence County, Ohio.

She was a licensed Practical Nurse, working in private duty at Alliance Community Hospital and Roker Nursing Home, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Apostolic. Lighthouse Church.

Survivors include her husband Gilbert D. Walter of Alliance, whom she married August 19, 1946, sons Larry A Walter of Alliance, Gary D. Walter of Canton and William L. Walter of Windlake, Wisconsin, daughters Helen M. Walter of Alliance, Rose A Burris of Carrollton and Sarah D. Hatton of Long Beach California, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, brothers Kenneth R. Watson of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and William L. Watson of St. Paris Ohio.

Her parents, son Gilbert E. Walter, grandson Matthew Walter, brothers Reed, Bud, David, Willie, Kearnie, Adam and Arnold, and sisters Marie Harris, Connie S. McNeely, Orpha Webb preceded Mrs. Walter in death.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Apostolic Lighthouse Church with Pastor Ralph Blevins officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
