Rosemarie Weibel age 73 of Alliance, died at 12:14 p.m. Sunday May 2, 2004 at her home after a sudden illness.
Mrs. Weibel was born in Alliance February 18, 1931 to the late John and Irene (Bartlett) Zimpelman. She was a 1949 graduate of Alliance High School and a member of the First Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Rose was a very loved housewife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandma. She was a published poet and loved painting. Mrs. Weibel was employed at Jay's in the mid 1970s.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy (Chuck) Schuster and Lillian (Ron) Kerr, three sons; Fred (Pam) Weibel, Ronald (Mindy) Weibel and Larry (Tammy) Weibel, all of Alliance, two sisters; Francie (Dick) Grace of Paris and Lucille (Cecil) Greene of Birmingham, Ala, three brothers, Robert Zimpelman of Alliance, Carl (Dorothy) Zimpelman of Cincinnati, and Donald (Barb) Zimpelman of Albuquerque, NM, thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her cat, Tex.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, whom she married June 12, 1949, and who passed May 5, 2000, her parents, one infant daughter, one sister Irene Everett and two brothers John and Leonard Zimpelman.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, or the Diabetes Association.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
