Rosemary Fails, age 82, passed away on January 1, 2025.
She was born on October 4, 1942, in Conneaut, Ohio, to Ralph and Lilyan Reo.
Rosemary graduated from Rowe High School and Mercyhurst College. She started the Latchkey program in Alliance and worked at it for 20 years. Rosemary went on to graduate from Stark State College at the age of 60.
Rosemary attended St. Joseph’s Church in Alliance. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing Scrabble. Rosemary was also a fan of the Cleveland Guardians. She was the woman behind the man, her husband, Harry. Rosemary was the wife of Coach Harry Fails Jr. She made sure all four of her children were ready and attended all of Harry’s games. The most important thing to Rosemary was her family. She was a generous lady who always donated to charities and opened her house to countless people over the years. She loved everyone and especially children. She took pride in knowing her preschool children were well prepared for school.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, whom she loved so much, Diana Fails (Jerry Hammerton), Tim (Michelle) Fails, and Mary Beth Fails (Cliff Smith); grandchildren, Kayla, Jayden (Emma), A.J., Keira, Breanna, Nathan and Ally; great-grandchildren, Blake, Jaxon, and Kayden; four sisters, Bonnie Schiavone, Kathy Chu, Pam Richardson, and Lorrie Mullin; brother, Richard Reo; and dearest friends, Bill Jones and Aurelia Sutcliffe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Fails Jr.; daughter, Tammie Fails; and sister, Gina Delmore.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Monday, January 6th at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation from 9:00-9:45 a.m.
