Roy M. Henck, age 78, of Louisville, died at 6:05 p.m. September 16, 2009 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.
He was born December 30, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland to Fred and Daisy (Williams) Henck.
Roy graduated from Hagerstown High School in Maryland, and received his Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA, before graduating from the Nazarene Theological Seminary. Roy worked for the Department of World Mission as a Missionary, and attended the Alliance Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include; four sons, Kim Andrew (Anne) Henck of Northville, NY, Rex Peter (Loral) Henck of Oklahoma City, OK, Kevin James (Deirdre) Henck of Westerville, OH, Steven Crawford (Marsha) Henck of Cedar Falls, IA; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Gloria (Crawford) Henck, whom he married June 5, 1953, and who died October 6, 2008; and one sister, Edith Spoonire.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Alliance Church of the Nazarene. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside Services and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to support the Church of the Nazarene in the Cape Verde Islands in care of Kevin Henck, 6247 Spring Run Drive, Westerville, Ohio, 43082.
